Papal States, 20 Baiocchi, 1848R III, NGC AU 53. This coin has excellent detail under light toning. The type is scarce in high grades like this. The Standard Catalog of World Coins lists a value of 0 in Extra Fine and 0 in Uncirculated. This is the one and only example of the date and type that NGC has ever graded, IN ANY CONDITION. The design features Pope Pius IX on the obverse. It is struck in .900 fine silver and contains .1555 troy ounces of actual silver. Please be sure to check out my other listings!
