A most impressive Silver Francescone of Tuscany. Not so far from an Extremely Fine example with a seldom encountered double portrait of the rulers. Issued for the young Duke, Carlo Ludovico, and his mother as Regent, Maria Luisa. They ruled in this capacity, 1803-1807. Light graphite gray toning with a minor rim tap at 6:00. Strong eye appeal.
