KM 1, one year type, issued for the Cisalpine Republic under French control, during the Napoleonic Wars. Half dollar size silver coin, with a fsces on the obverse.
The Cisalpine Republic was a grouping of Italian (and, at time, Swiss) territories, which began under other names in 1797.  It was renamed as the Republic of Italy, and in 1805, was renamed the Kingdom of Italy (also known as the Kingdom of Napoleon).
On the reverse, there are some groups of parallel lines.  These are called "file adjustment marks", and are the result of using a file to adjust an overweight planchet.  Since this is part of the process to produce the planchets for striking, they are not considered as damage.
