    SAVOY - Duchy of Savoy - AMÉDÉE VIII (UCR)
    (1416-1440)
    Amédée VIII (1383-1434) was the son of Amadeus VII and Bonne of Bourbon. He ascended the throne in 1391 Count, under the regency of his mother until 1398 year. Savoy is a Duchy February 19, 1416. He died in 1440. In his coinage there are three very different periods: regency (1391-1398), Count (1398-1416), Duke (1416-1440).
